Over the weekend, Illinois surged past 11 thousand confirmed cases of COVID-19. Governor JB Pritzker says he thinks most people are doing the right thing, staying at home.  Prtizker also says the state will need more ventilators to prepare for a worst case scenario. We’ll speak with an Illinois engineer whose team created a device meant to help.

We also heard about a new national survey, suggesting a fair amount of agreement across partisan lines on coronavirus.

And, with gyms closed and people looking for stress relief, some are taking up running. We got tips from Illinois experts and heard about their Olympic dreams being put on hold.
