Authorities say a body found in Crystal Lake Friday afternoon is that of a missing University of Illinois graduate.

Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup told the News-Gazette the body removed about 3 p.m. Friday is that of 23-year old Cristian Zamora of Chicago, who was last seen on New Year's Eve.

Authorities from the Department of Natural Resources searched the lake not far from the university campus using a sonar device.  Authorities previously searched Crystal Lake in early February.

Zamora's friends say they last saw him walking to a grocery store in Champaign on New Year's Eve. Surveillance camera footage later showed him near the lake.

UPDATE: The newspaper reports the results of a preliminary autospy Saturday 'show no signs of trauma or foul play," according to Northrup.
