On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday night at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9: The Champaign-Urbana Symphony, the University of Illinois Oratorio Society, and the Varsity Men's Glee Club come together to perform one of the most moving and memorable works of the choral repertoire, Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem. From the sublime beauty of soaring solo voices to the awe-inspiring power of the full orchestra and chorus, Verdi masterfully uses all of the vocal and instrumental forces at his command.
