Idle suggestion-turned-podcast stands at the intersection of sports and culture and wonders just what the heck is going on. It's produced every two weeks by WILL's Brian Moline, Lisa Bralts, and John Steinbacher. You can follow the podcast on Twitter at this handle: @bndwgnpdcst (or just go here)

Bandwagoneer John Steinbacher's off to Disney World, so Brian and Lisa welcome a special guest host to BNDWGN HQ. There's much to discuss: The new NBA season, what happened at the end of the WNBA's season, a national anthem update, a hardcore professional basketball rivalry, and unless we have collectively jumped dimensions, the Cubs are playing baseball at the end of October. For real.
It's a bit of a stressful time at BNDWGN HQ, thanks to the Chicago Cubs' derring-do in the postseason. We discuss this (at length), plus some announcer rivalry, plus an ode to possibly the best TV sports drama ever. Hint: It has nothing to do with the Cubs.
In this, the 23rd episode of the Bandwagon, we interview Cubs relief pitcher Spencer Patton. Also: Fantasy Sports 101, a rivalry almost all of us of a certain age watched on Sunday afternoon TV back in the olden times, and more social media items of note, including the soon-to-be-regular (?) "Famous Person Who Liked Our Tweet" segment. Hop on!
Where to begin? Well, with a Paralympics check-in, fanning ourselves over Chris Evert's love for one of our tweets, an interview with some friends of John's who suffer football fatigue for some very compelling reasons, and discussing a rivalry concept, rather than just a plain old rivalry.
We do ONE LAST (for real) Olympics check-in, discuss the Paralympic Games for a few minutes, entertain Illinois soccer head coach Janet Rayfield in the friendly confines of Studio A, talk about the Lovie Effect on U of I sports, and Lisa confesses her obsession with a ping-pong playing cat.
[YAWN] Anything happen while we were gone?
Between the Crossfit Games just getting underway, the Olympic Games looming in a couple of weeks, the reindeer games playing out on social media, and all the other fun and games out there, Brian, John, and Lisa had their hands full this week. C'mon. Get onto the Bandwagon, would ya?
So much room for activities this week! The Bandwagoneers take on the following: The clothes sporters wear while sporting; Brexit; one of the greatest rivalries of all time, PERIOD; so much more. You know you want to come aboard!
Brian, John, and Lisa find out more about Robert Morris University's programs and scholarships (!) for gamers. They also discuss the increasingly thin line (or so it seems) between gaining a competitive edge and flat-out cheating, debate whether LeBron's legacy or MJ's will endure the longest, and bestow their favorite recent social media moments upon their listeners.
